Wow, how my life has changed in the past 8 years. After being overweight all of my life I successfully lost 200 lbs in about 2 years. I felt on top of the world and like I could conquer anything. In 2009, I made the decision to move back to the city I was raised in to be close to my mom, due to her declining health. At the end of 2009 I met my husband on line. After a whirlwind romance we were married in May of 2010. Shortly after, my world caved in. I lost my job, my marriage was awful, biggest mistake of my life. I loved my husband but he turned out not to be who I thought he was. (long story)My support system was gone, I was isolated in the middle of no where in a city and a house I loathed. I quickly resorted to the comfort of my old life where food was my friend. The day after Thanksgiving 2011, I came home from my new job and found my husband unconscious on the floor. He had an anuerism blow, and after 6 days in intensive care I had to make the decision to disconnect life support. I moved back to Eugene where my mom was (my job was there also) but my self esteem had been destroyed.. I had no strength and it took conscious effort just to get out of bed in the morning. Mom was diagnosed with Cancer and made the decision to not get treatment. So I was with her in the preparation for her passing. She lived on her own until a month before she passed. Days turned into months, and I finally started awaking from the depressive fog. So I begin again. I started gardening, and canning. I want to get back to where I was in 2009. But, it takes a village. I'm building up a support system again slowly. I just take it one day at a time. Good luck with your journey, remember right now can be your new beginning, you don't have to wait until a new day. There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. To be able to buy off the rack clothes that I actually like, and not just what fits. (accomplished - YooHoo)
To not have to shop in the "big" girl stores (accomplished - again YooHoo)
To dance til dawn. (accomplished - Tango anyone??)
To feel as if when I walk into a room and people stare, its a good thing. (accomplished)
Body fat % of 20% (still working on it)
Mini Triathalon scheduled for July 17, 2009. (scary but excited) - Completed in 2hrs 8 min

Susan G Komen 3 day, 60 mile walk . September 2009.
October 09 - Great Columbia Crossing 10k - 1 hour 21 minutes


My Program:
I'm following the "get up off the couch you lazy woman" exercise plan and the "take accountibility for what you put in your mouth and stop eating a bunch of garbage" diet.




Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Eugene Oregon The most interesting place I've ever lived was the Grand Canyon.
Single except for the 4 furry grandchildren as my mother calls them. "Pumpkin Puss", "miss Max", "Jynx" and "Jazzmine"
