I wish there were a virtual model where you could enter your own measurements. It would be even better for trying on clothes, because it would be more realistic. For instance, my legs are NOT that smooth!
Actually, I think the virtual model me now looks better! Why isn't there a "cellulite" option, and smaller chestal area! And my arms are bigger - real me is much less proportionate. :P And of course the virtual face looks better. Hehe.
One is based on 160 pounds, the other on 120 - different lengths of hair, but I think that's about it. Thanks for trying to make me feel better, though!
As for that chick pea recipe - you and Micah don't always have to have the same thing. I made lasagne the other night, so there were a bunch of leftovers. When I made the chick peas, there was still some leftover lasagne for Phil, but I didn' feel like having any. And if Micah wants something fast-food-y and you don't want it, or you're trying to cut back on Chinese, you can make something for yourself.
A new Stop & Shop opened up closer to my house! I'm excited - it's right on my way to and from work. The only downside is that Job Lot isn't right next door, and I like to go there first and get deals on certain foods. And it will be weird getting used to a new store all over again.
I almost called you today to ask if you wanted to go for a walk - it was so nice! Phil and I went to Beavertail, but didn't stay too long because it was COLD! When the weather gets nicer, we'll have to get together to exercise. What days/times will you have off?
Hey hey, look who's back! I was going to tell you that I picked Spark back up, but I hadn't gotten around to it and I wasn't sure if you would be interested. But now we can be motivational buddies! (pause) Well, more than we already are.
I'm glad you liked that Leslie Sansone DVD - her mile walks are even better, I think. She's so peppy it kinda makes me smile. You should see if they have 'em at the library - I have the 3- and 4-mile, but there's also 1 and 2 (which I haven't tried).
I WAS getting up early every morning to work out, as you may recall, and it felt SO GOOD to start the day off on the right foot. But I just couldn't keep it up. Once I put it off, I find other things to do. So I'm hoping for some nice weather to walk on my street, or perhaps walk on the treadmill while watching a movie (it's been too cold, because I can't put it in the house). You're right - a little bit is better than nothing, so keep it up.
I want to get on track with eating - I find that tracking food/calories - albeit however anally - really helps me realize how much I'm eating. So I'm gonna do that for a while, and gradually work my way into adding more exercise.
I usually just add the food I eat, but decided to put the meal plan option on just to see what they recommend, and just substitute similar items. That way, I'm getting pretty much what I'm "supposed" to. Although I find it hard to get enough fiber (even though I'm eating whole grains), and I get too much fat and calories. *sigh*
A REALLY good dinner idea, which I had last night: saute 1/2 can chick peas (rinsed) with olive oil, paprika, and fresh chopped dill weed ( I like a lot - the flavor is awesome). After maybe a few minutes, add about 1-2 cups fresh spinach and a little bit of lemon juice; the spinach wilts, and all the flavors meld and it's sooo good. Top with some cheese, and you get a pretty balanced meal. Protein, calcium, iron... some fruit for dessert and you're all set!
