Just read your article "I Thought I'd Always Be Fat." I, too, come from an obese family. But when I joined SparkPeople and started monitoring my food intake, several years ago, I quit after a few weeks because I was "starving." However, in August 2014 I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. At that point I received real instructions and began working towards a healthy lifestyle.
