My Journey to a Simply Healthy Life

I'm a 29 year old homeschooling mom of two boys, ages 5 & 2. They keep me on my toes, but my weight has crept up on me this year and it's getting hard to keep up with them. Most of the day I'm longing for face time with my pillow, and most of the night I can't sleep.

I'm here because I need a lifestyle change and I need support to make it. I want to feel healthy and energetic and I want to be a good example to my boys. Plus I would love to fit my jeans again so I won't have to ...

The sogginess of where I live in Western Washington can make staying active a challenge, but I'm not going to let a little rain hold me back anymore.

My Goals:
To have a healthy lifestyle and be full of energy again. I want to go hiking with my family this year and not feel out of breath. Also, I'd like to actually fit the clothes in my closet and dresser instead of alway having "nothing" to wear. Plus, let's face it- I want to be hot for my hubby. Ha! ;D

My Program:
I plan to eat healthier and stay accountable with my eating habits using the WW program. I go to"Calorie" Chapel, so this should be a challenge.

I also plan to walk 10,000 steps as soon as I get a pedometer that actually works. :)

Welcome to the SnoCo Sparkers. Before starting an exercise program I didn't sleep well either. I thought it was normal! Then I started sleeping thru the night. If I skipped my routine for a few days the insomnia would return so that was how I noticed the difference. Unfortunately, I've been off my routine for a while now and extra hormones aren't helping. I've been sleeping terribly so exercise is definitely in my plan for 2009!
