No matter how slow or how fast I move towards that goal, I'm getting there. One step at a time!

Exercise can be my friend, supposedly. We'll try that!

This is crazy...

Update: In September I started a new job, was told I could possibly have kidney cancer, was told I have fatty liver disease, and that I have a 13 cm growth in my abdomen. Fast forward to today, February 13, 2014. I just had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago, I'm off work for 6 more weeks. The growth was removed, the kidney has been checked over and is not cancerous. When I recover from this surgery, I need to get my butt in gear again. I can't cure fatty liver disease, but I can stop it from getting ...

I started going to the gym in late December 2011. Since then I've gained weight. Granted I haven't been going more than 2-3 times a week. And I fell off the Sparkpeople wagon so I was not recording my food. But what the heck? Everybody else seems to be able to eat whatever they want, they don't exercise, and yet I am the one gaining the weight. Yes, woe is me. I love food and I'd rather be scrapbooking than exercising. I just wish there was a magic pill that I could take that would just make me 154 lbs (normal range for my height) without me having to work at it. But I guess that's not the case and I have to just get my butt back in gear. I am happy that I can now do some running again with my plantar fascitiis being under control. Well, wish me luck as I climb back on this dumb wagon yet again!

My Goals:
I would like to get down to 154 lbs. This puts me in the "normal range" instead of the "obese" or "overweight" range.

My Program:
I am back to counting calories on SparkPeople.com and have had orthotics made for my runners. Despite this, I continue to have trouble with plantar fasciitis if I over do things. I have now joined a gym and am aiming to go to it 3x week.

Personal Information:
I've been married for over 17 years and am a proud mom of two girls, age 12 and 14. I'm not a huge fan of exercise, and I love food. Unfortunately!

Other Information:
I love shopping, scrapbooking and cardmaking. I also enjoy geocaching!

Just cruising through leaving ya with some motivational thoughts for today:

“Do not fear mistakes, there are none.” ~ Miles Davis

“I have accepted fear as a part of life, specifically the fear of change, the fear of the unknown. I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says: Turn back, turn back; you’ll die if you venture too far.” ~ Erica Jong

“We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal & then leap in the dark to our success.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Have a healthy week!!!!

Thank you for spending the time to read my blog - I think having just put that blog together - the first time I have actually put the developing story together like that and now the penny has dropped - and I am beginning to realise what I have done!! So - I'm just a bit slow in the uptake!! LOL!!
However it has proved one thing to me – that if I can do it anyone can do it and you will find that the results are way beyond your wildest dreams!!

My GF gets emails from all the places that have crops.
She does 2 in the states every year (spring and fall). The place is called Memory Manor.
This one that we will be going to is in Grand Bend Ontario. It will actually be my first one! I can't wait!

I will be going to one in October and I can't wait!
I will even be bringing some food... just in case!
MY GF and I have a room with a mini fridge!

Everyone has an off weekend... just keep it in the past and start again!

So excited to see you back on here! I will need you to help keep me going now that my biggest source of motivation (Biggest Loser) is over. Glad to see you tracking food again too. We can do this together! emoticon
