Blessed and Confident
I am so very blessed, but I am at a time in my life when my knees and back are telling me that this extra weight I have carried around with me my most of my life must go. I did experience a period of being thin in my early 20"s, but that ended with the blessing of my first daughter. I have always accepted my weight, as I was heavy most of my life and never let it get in the way of how I lived. Now, however, it is slowing me down too much and I don't like how it makes me feel. I would like to be ...
I am so very blessed, but I am at a time in my life when my knees and back are telling me that this extra weight I have carried around with me my most of my life must go. I did experience a period of being thin in my early 20"s, but that ended with the blessing of my first daughter. I have always accepted my weight, as I was heavy most of my life and never let it get in the way of how I lived. Now, however, it is slowing me down too much and I don't like how it makes me feel. I would like to be a hands-on grandmother when my daughter starts her family. In order to do that, I must say goodbye to the so many extra pounds that I have lived with. I will not be sad to see them go. With God's help, I now begin what I am confident will be my last weight loss journey!

My Goals:
My aim is to be healthy. The weight never bothered me so much when I was younger. Now the aches & pains make me realize that if I want my body to feel as young as my mind does, I must work at it.
My Program:
I am trying to keep low carb and high protein. I seems to work better for me and I feel that it is better for those of us who have a predisposition to diabetes.

I live near the ocean but I love the mountains. Reading, steak and ice cream are loves of mine (after the Lord, my honey and my girls, of course). The first is good, the other two.. not so. Purple and turquoise are my favorite colors.
