My Journey To Health

My Commitment to the Beautiful Butterflies 2013 Summer 5% Challenge:

1. I will exercise for at least thirty minutes every day that I do not work, and at least ten minutes on the days I do. I will incorporate some strength training in addition to swimming.

2. Improve chronic pain by becoming stronger and losing weight.

4. Swim an open water race in 2012.

My Program:
1. I resigned from job in September 2010 to take a year off to focus on my health.
2. I became a member at Duke Integrative Medicine in October 2010.
3. I joined Spark People in July 2011.
4. I spent ten months in physical therapy correcting mechanical problems contributing to my chronic pain.
5. I have made major life style changes that I have maintained for the past year.

Personal Information:
I live in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina with my family.
