I've been a spark people member for awhile - on & off the wagon. After losing, gaining, getting very sick - losing alot! (yay!), buying a house & then gaining it all back plus some, am finally ready to get off my butt in gear & put in the work. Again. Workng on rediscovering how much i love fresh veggies & homemade salads. And the tracking food & exercise does wonders for my OCD!

I put my nutrition/fitness guide out there for the world to see as a way to keep me accountable - keeps me from chowing down on some scrumptious chick-fil-a! have also replaced my usual happy hours with happy hour @ the gym - and it's cheaper!

Sucky part is that I met almost all of my goals in Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 - since then I've straight up been LAZY! I did join a running class & was able to run 40 minutes at once - without stroking out!; however, I've gotten off track. With lots of life changes coming in the next year, I need to get crack-a-lackin' now before "i'm too busy" becomes my stand-by excuse...

My Goals:
I would like to drop two dress sizes for BFF's upcoming wedding in February. After that, I'd like to be able to run, not walk, an ENTIRE 5k! I'm back on the treadmill & elliptical machine - I hope to be able to work out on the elliptical for a full 30 minutes & I want to be able to climb the stairclimber for a full 10 minutes by the end of September! Quite a challenge for me!

My Program:
I track EVERYTHING I eat. Sometimes it's very scary to see it all on paper! My goal is 1200 calories a day - believe it or not, that's a LOT of food, as long as it's healthy! I'm just remembering how good it feels to work up a sweat!

Personal Information:
I live in Pensacola - grew up here, went to college & worked in Tallahassee (go Noles!) & moved back. Missed the beach! Not married, never married, no kids (aside from my three spoiled-rotten dogs) & happily so. About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis - it's an autoimmune disease of the digestive system. There's lots of medicine, but no cure. It sucks. In October 2007, I was hospitalized for 2 weeks due to UC, but I ended up being put on Remicade, which is basically my miracle drug. Over two years flare free! I was also diagnosed with a blood clot in my left leg from my calf to my thigh. That sucked! Now I'm doing everything I can to make sure that doesn't happen again!

Other Information:
I'm a huge Mets & Jets fan. College &pro football takes over saturdays & sundays in the fall and I love watching World Series play off games. Nothing better than a weekend where I have nothing to do, but that doesn't happen very often! I'm usually @ the gym after work & at least once on the weekends - it's my ME time!
