I couldn't resist the ginormous teddy bear at Walmart. Darn your cute cuddliness! 01/26/2013

Every year, McGuire's hands out a cool moisture wicking shirt before the race. I LOVE it!

Fitness Minutes: 4,694

My Goals:
My biggest goal is to find myself in a permanent routine!

My second biggest? Get that 20 lbs off and keep it off!

Third--for once in my life, I want to be able to do a freakin' push-up!

My Program:
Currently, I work out 6-7 days a week. Thirty minutes is the minimum. I do intense cardio and strength training workouts through the LesMills Combat program. I also attend a local Fit Club that does additional 40-60 minute workouts every Tues. and Thurs.

Right now, I am training for the McGuire's St. Patty's 5k Run on March 9th.

Personal Information:
I've been living in Pensacola, FL for about 11 years now. I recently graduated from college so the life of cheap-o ramen is almost over!

I'm a member of the PAC gym so if you're looking for workout buddies, maybe we can work something out!

Other Information:
I enjoy spending my afternoons perusing the books-a-million store, sitting down to a cup of coffee or tea and reading a good book.

I'm all about the fast pace music. Genre is something I do not limit myself in so as long as I can get myself moving to the beat, I'm pretty much for it. If you have any music to share, let me know! I love finding good ole motivational songs.

Hi, just wanted to thank you for the time and thoughtfulness you put into your comment on my blog!

I agree, both P90X and Insanity look "serious", so I'm definitely evaluating keeping them in reserve until I finish my current strength training regimen. Honestly, I'm very weather driven (meaning I tend to neglect strength training when it's nice out and I can ride my bike). I'm also know that I like to finish what I start, so if I started one of them, it would likely butt up against the event I'm training for in the first place, so you're right, I'm wary about what starting now might do in the long run.

My friend said that the people he knows who have done both, typically start w/ P90X, then move to Insanity. I haven't heard about The Asylum, but I'd assume it's truth in advertising and will drive one into the ground, not a deterrent, but something to be aware of.

Man, I'm with you there, those stuffed bell peppers were sublime. For real. Hope you don't mind, I've added you as a Spark friend, thanks again, and keep hammering! emoticon

Hi! I laughed so hard this morning when I saw your comments. emoticon First of all, I'm not sure about that "quarter inch higher" comment, but thanks for a nice thought! emoticon And that seafood-pasta-something salad wasn't about texture, it was just weir mix. Lots of pasta, some fresh peppers, seafood and lots of mayonnaise. Was weird in the end, even though it should've been ok. So in the end, I regretted it because of that mayo. Not sure that I've burned those calories by the end of the day with cardio on elliptical and a half-hour walk, but I think I'm good. emoticon
Anyway, I plan to keep my body confused, as you said, with workouts from now on. Maybe it would burn those unplanned calories better! Thank you for the support and advices! emoticon I'll be cheering for you too! emoticon emoticon
