Fantastic workout this morning

To the Dr. who told me in May when he removed my cast to not expect to just go and lift a frying pan...Ahem Doc, I will see your frying pan and raise you 235lbs. Don't tell me what I can and can't do! I make those rules!!

My Goals:
I am back in the gym now. Doing splits three days a week and single workouts on the other days. I see progress.

My Program:
I follow the Primal Blueprint for diet and part of my exercise program. It has worked well so far.

Personal Information:
I am a 47 year old mother of one. My son is 28. Yes I was a baby having a baby. I have a wonderful partner in my life that is just as committed to diet and exercise. Makes life so much easier

Thx for the comment on my "guns". LOL. That pic is from nearly a year ago. I love lifting, but I love many other fitness activities too and since I lift heavy it seems I only get in one, maybe two, full body workouts a week, but more often one. I have true potential (I get asked all the time if I compete, or have competed) but it goes unrealized, LOL. Because it's pretty easy for me, I love watching my muscles grow and for this reason would love to fit in more weights. But that would crowd out boxing and time with my two toddlers! Hard to balance it all. Had to laugh about your comment about your back and quads. LOL, opposite for me. My legs are ginormous. Poeple always ask me where I get my legs and of course I always say, "Mom and Dad". ;) That and I am an intensity junkie. My one workout is probably what most (normal) people do in a week. :)
You look great though. I take other people's routines with a grain of salt though because I have to be realistic about what I am really willing to do ( and can fit in). Wish you lived in Az, we could lift together once! :)

Thanks for responding to my message board post. I think I am going to buy the book you recommended. A member commented on another one of my posts that you can't lose fat and gain muscle at the same time and I would love to hear your comments on that since you clearly know what you're doing. You look fantastic! Thanks again for your advice.
