--FOOD TRACKER is back & helping.
--1000 calories a day with exercise at least 5-6 times a week going to the YMCA.
--- 8 glasses of water per day.
--Low sodium,, and low carbs and low calories
--Learning about Portion control.
--Eating good portions of fruits and veggies everyday.
Married to Cheryl for 45 years.
Our lives changed dramatically since her double knee replacement 4 years ago.
She's got chronic pain which keeps her up sometimes at night.
But in spite she hangs in there, working a full time job & keeping up with the grandkids.
2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Laws & an ex-son-in-law.
5 Grandchildren: Makayla, Shelby, Jaden & Gabe and Brooks
Pastored 6 churches over 33 years. Stepped out in 2007 to see ministry continuing as a College Adjunct Instructor which I am still doing.
Has an earned Bachelor in Bible (71) Master of Divinity (98) and a Doctorate of Ministry (02).
College Adjunct Instructor at Cowley County Community College since 2008.
I teach Philosophy, Ethics, Marriage and Family presently. In the past I have taught Sociology, Public Speaking, Cultural Anthropology, Persuasion in Society, Gospel of John, Human Sexuality.
Am looking forward to what I can do in 2016!!!
With Type 2 Diabetes I can manage this with diet, exercise and medication.
April 2016: Went to Diabetes Ed class. Some things good and some things not so good.

Hi Dennis! I'm not really back, but your blog post made its way to my email and I wanted to drop in to say "hi".
It would be wonderful to join you on SP, but I don't know if I could commit. I'm not riding my bike now, although I did dust it off a few times for a spin. My weight was about the same at the docs office this summer, but I've lost muscle - which means I'm seeing a little something called flab. :(
Keep blogging and I'll promise to read it!

Oh sure. Now that I post my comment, the background color changes and you probably think I'm nuts that I couldn't see what I was typing! The comment box that I am typing in is royal blue - like the background on your page. And the font color looks like grey.

Thanks for the comment on my status today. I was reading through your bio to see where you lived to see if you were dealing with the brutal polar vortex that we are in Chicago. I see that you teach at Cowley County Community College. I work at a community college, too. I don't teach, though. I'm in the Library. Very cool that you have your Doctorate of Ministry. No wonder your posts are always so thoughtful, encouraging, and spiritual.

Surprise.....!! I've been missing for quite a while but hope to be back after it after the first of the year. I'm still watching and working out, but have been on Facebook.
