Patience, my dear.
I came upon SparkPeople through another website and I'm so happy to have found it. I've gained lots of weight and have tipped the scale at 250 lbs. Far too much. My knees hurt and I've lost quite a bit of confidence. My goal is to take it slow. I'd like to set small goals and work towards them day by day. I came upon SparkPeople through another website and I'm so happy to have found it. I've gained lots of weight and have tipped the scale at 250 lbs. Far too much. My knees hurt and I've lost quite a bit of confidence. My goal is to take it slow. I'd like to set small goals and work towards them day by day. I have begun this journey seriously as of Dec. 18th, 2008. Jan. 8th, 2009 - Ok, so I don't think I'll make it to 245 lbs. by Jan. 11th. I have 3 days to lose 1.6 lbs. Don't think it's happening, but I did manage to lose 3.6 lbs. BABY STEPS, Lourdes! So I'm going to set my next goal to be at 242 lbs. by Feb. 5th. I need to exercise. That is what I'm NOT doing. So I need to get up and get to the gym. I need to do it in the morning. If I wait till after work, I'll never do it. I'm happy that I'm focused and really want to get healthy. I'm happy that I've lost 3.6 lbs. Jan. 15th - This week I reached the second goal I set for myself. I'm at 242 lbs. This is good. I'm making progress. So I will set a third goal to be at 238 lbs. by Feb. 12th. I had to set my goals on my Start page because I had never done it. No wonder my calories under my nutrition tracker seemed so high. This website is a bit confusing, but I'm getting the hang of it. I wasn't eating the amount of calories that it stated I should be eating which is a good thing cause I would have probably not lost any weight. Now the calorie intake looks right. My total weight loss so far is 8 lbs. Slowly but surely I'll get to my goal. Jan. 29th - I've reached my third goal. I'm currently at 236.8 lbs. Setting small goals is working for me. I've lost a total of 13.4 lbs. I really want to stick with this new way of being. I want to take it nice and slow. I'm feeling better and hopeful about achieving my weight loss goals. I know I will reach my goal and continue eating in a healthful manner. One day at a time.

My Goals:
My first goal is to be at 245 lbs. by Jan. 11th, 09. - I'm at 246.6 lbs. (1/8/09) My second goal is to be at 242 lbs. by Feb. 5th, 09. - I'm at 242 lbs. (1/15) My third goal is to be at 238 lbs. by Feb. 12th, 09. - I'm at 236.8 lbs. (1/29) My fourth goal is to be at 232 lbs. by March 5th, 09.
My Program:
How am I going to lose the weight? By working out minimum twice a week. Monitoring my portions. Making healthier food choices. Drinking plenty of water, and being patient with myself.
