I am a 32 year old wife and mother of two. Like most of us.. I have tried almost every diet out there and failed. I can not believe I am still obese! I am so tired of this. I need to lose over 150 pounds. I am looking forward to watching others on their journey.

I have been overweight my entire life. Funny thing is.. when I was a young child I never realized I was overweight until other people told me. All through high school I fluctuated between 170 pounds and 210 pounds and I was always confident and motivated. I was happy in my skin and I rarely felt I was fat unless someone pointed it out to me. I miss having that confidence about myself.

I met my husband in 2000 I was around 195 pounds and I was SUPER confident .. I was very comfortable with who I was. After I had my first child in 2002 I was 215 pounds and I quickly got pregnant again!! lol.. My daughter was born 2 weeks shy of a year after my son. I was 265 after her birth in 2003 and never took it off...

It was sooooo difficult working a stressful full time job and juggling two babies in diapers. My husband worked night shifts and I worked long days. We rarely saw each other. I had the kids while he was at work.. and he had the kids while I was at work. We were both so exhausted. We gained lots of weight over the next couple of years. There was fast food.. too much quick processed foods. So little sleep-- so much stress..
I was already big.. I just kept getting bigger.
I am sure that my weight crept up past the 330's at one point.. I'm not sure how high it got. Several years ago I started eating better and being more active.. after a few months I bought a scale and saw what my weight was for the first time in a long time. It was 323. So.. I'm sure it was much higher before I started being more active and eating better.

So I found out that I have hypothyroid in 2011. This makes the past 20+ years of my life make so much more since now. I ate less and moved more than my siblings.. but I was the fat one. I have always struggled with depression, insomnia, moodiness, chronic fatigue. I really hope working on regulating my thyroid will help my efforts in weight loss. I know I have to continue eating better and moving more.. but maybe now the scale will actually move more and I will start to feel physically and emotionally better.

I am starting over again! I plan on going back to college in the Fall of 2012-- It has been over 12 years since I have been in school! I am ready to live my life.. It is never too late! I found out in April that I am also a Type 2 diabetic. So here I am-- starting over AGAIN.
