A woman on a mission!

Baby number 3 has really left his mark on my body. I was skinny till I hit my teens then the family trait to gain weight took hold, but each baby had taken me further over the edge.
My youngest is now nearly 4 and I can't keep using him as an excuse for my weight. While I was on maternity leave I foud sparkpeople and lost loads of weight but when I returned to work all my positive routines, time and focus left me and I quickly picked up all my old habbits. In just a few months I was right back to the begining.
I have now turned 40 and planning to climb Ben Nevis. I need to be fit and a lot lighter and I know that it is only with the support here at sparkpeople that I will achieve my goals.

LOL! It is well and truly brutal. Of course, the people who live there are used to it, and they all have back-up generators and wood-stoves for extra heat and so forth. But since I can choose (usually!) not to have to deal with it, why, I don't. What say... the Canary Islands? or the south of Spain? Now that's what I'd call a holiday--!!!

Really good to hear that you are doing well and that life feels fine for a change. Wishing you a long patch of that!
Here - not so great but better than summer. Lectures started three weeks ago and my life seems to have started going at light speed! I have no structure at the moment (huhuhu and that moment has been here for a while!)
On the bright side - I will be moving from adjunct to full time position on January 1.It won't be less strenuous, but it will certainly pay off better.
