Easter Egg hunt with Sophia...so glad to be almost to goal ... 3 lbs left.





This is me after loosing 50 pounds. Love to ride. Want a short light road bike but this one will do for now...extra exercise riding it. Use the bag for intown rides. We ride with the Houston Bicycle Club in town and out in the country rides. Try us!

Now Starting my Sexy 60's with a ton of exercise and a grand daughter full time!

Turned 62 on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, 2012. My goal is to start getting ready to do a Triathlon eventually. Put on hold because watching a now 2+ year old is time consuming!!!

Have 2 children in their 20's and been married for since '83.

I love Gardening, working out at Bally's and bicycle riding before operation...HAVE FINALLY FIT THAT BACK IN! I have started to lose finally in 2009, mainly by more exercise and eating clean. My top weight was 170lbs...too much on short body.

Finished the 1/2 Marathon Jan 13th, '08 @ 3 hrs-52minutes! Now I love the long bike rides more...get a breeze and can coast better than walking. Got my J-pouch that has changed things for the better being so active. Got rid of the 5" hernia and no more poop bag. It is not symptom free being tied to the 'pot' more than normal, but almost like having a colon again.
So glad I found Dr. Joel Fuhrman and his books on CDs! Becoming a Nutritarian and it is helping me loose weight even with nuts and avacados!!!

My Goals:
My main goal now is to get back to my goal and have a ton of muscle to rev up my short old metabolism. Got my hormones and thyroid all in check with Dr. Hotze.com

Second goal I HAVE MADE : was to loose the weight so I can have the J-Pouch surgery!.
A little harder to keep that 110 weight after my surgeries! You can still gain without a colon!

Want to keep close to my goal of a 110 small firm body !

My Program:
I go to Weight Watchers with my husband now who had to get a stent put in and needed to loose also! HE LOST 60 LBS ALSO! (I love my WW leader Kimberly, who had to move...) I use my treadmill and go to the great Katy YMCA for weights, yoga, swimming, and SPINNING!
I trained 6 months to walk the 1/2 Marathon in Houston with KATYFIT.COM. Training groups with USAfit make it easy! Now I can run again with the lbs off...did a 5k on May 22nd, and came in second fastest 60+ group. Can't run as much as i want to because need to keep knee in good shape.

Doing Spinning classes and long rides in the Texas country and interesting in town rides in Houston. RIDE WITH HOUSTON BICYCLE CLUB! Riding with a bike club makes the time and mile fly by. We do at least 30 miles a weekend.

Personal Information:
Always battle with food, weight and appetite. Got WW Lifetime in 1969 and up and down long periods of time. Getting so sick with Ulcerative Colitus had thrown me for a loop & pounds! Predisone and not eating like starvation then led to gain after I could finally eat. DID stop the upward direction back in 2009. But I had to get rid of the sugars and refined carbs for good! IT HELPS! See the Eat Clean group....

Other Information:
Love getting movies from Netflix....so many options.

I love my now two dogs, Rusty & Baby Bella, both miniature long hair dachshunds that are so loving and cute! Also the 3 wonderful funny cats.

Have done several bike rides at least 25 miles up to 50 miles.

Love gardening...almost too hot in Houston. (even as a native Houstonian)

Have to limit computer time or will not exercise!

Love the Mac/Apple computers! Hate the PC.

A pleasure to meet you, Shortlaurabeth! Thanks for friending me. Yeah, I'm 5'2 and ten pounds from my goal weight, but as you say at our heigth, it could be a while before I get there. I love food, too..
