I'm Sho from Scotland and I've been on Spark People since July 2007 and have succesfully lost 40lbs, with a program that's focussed on small lifestyle changes, small calorie reductions and a LOT of exercise.... I'm very happy with the results though it's a bit strange as my whole shape's changed and my levels of fitness are better than they've ever been.... weird! I sometimes get a shock when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and realise that new body's really me!

Even after what I should count as a pretty good success, I'm REALLY struggling to keep going at the moment and get the rest of the weight off, and have even managed to put a few lbs back ON over the last couple of months, what with the combination Christmas festivities/ horrible winter weather making going outside depressing/ not watching what I eat due to work stressiness /recently having quit smoking. So I need to reset and start getting back to where I was tail end of November, rejiig some of my healthy habits that I've sloped off on of late.

On the subjects of habits though, on the plus side, I have to report that I'm still not smoking! WOOT!

MORE THAN TWELVE WEEKS SMOKE FREE!!!!

My Goals:
- Lose weight

- Get a better body image

- NEVER SMOKE AGAIN

My Program:
- 1500 cals a day, 1800 on days of heavy exercise

- daily multivit and B complex supplements

- 2-3 cups green tea every weekday

- 8-10 glasses H20

- 3-5 portions fruit and veg daily

- 2 classes Combat weekly

- 2 hours bellydance weekly

- at least 1 hour yoga weekly

- 2 hours a week of mixed, other exercise - dance DVDs, swimming, walking, jogging, working with weights, spin.

- EAT BREAKFAST

-DON'T SMOKE!

Personal Information:
An inveterate party-animal me, excessive "treats", boozy night outs and not hitting the gymn enough had piled on the weight over time. Oops! Here to sort that out and (much as it pains me) introduce some *moderation* into my lifestyle. I'm not a teenager anymore, no matter how little I like to admit that!









Other Information:
My interests include: bellydance (mainly tribal, also egyptian and gothic), gothic subculture and music, especially 80's style electronica and synthpop, burlesque, clothes (but only glamourous stuff darlink!), film (passionate cinema goer), makeup (actually that one's not an interest it's an obsession! lol!) and my number one favourite thing in the world is partying and HAVING FUN!!!
