Hello there! I'm trying to incrementally lose weight. SparkPeople is the first (and only) site in a long time that's actually had me come back- whether its for the articles, or the message boards, or just the calorie tracker... I can't stay away!

I mean, I've had my downtimes, when I'd only pop in maybe once a week.. but now, I'm back, checking in daily.

Currently, I'm on my- I can't even count- time re-starting. The last time I was here, I was stuck in the 180s... since then, I've moved and have done minimal work at trying to upkeep the weight loss I did get. The end result? I'm back in the 200s! *cry*

This is a kick in the pants. I'm still trying to figure out the best routine for me right now (it changes with the seasons, literally!), so I need to focus more on the nutrition aspect than fitness - at this point.



Behind the Name:
I like to role-play a lot, and the name Shinako is that of a character of mine.. a high spirited, high energy young woman whose got a strong outlook on life.



Goals:
I would eventually like to end back up to my pre-pregnancy weight of 140lbs. (That was over 10 years ago!) Ultimately, I'd like to end up somewhere in the range between 110 and 130. My short-term goal is 180lbs for now, though.




Non-Weight Goals:

- Resize, or get a sizer, for my rings because they're so small!

- Fit into lingerie I never thought I could fit into! (2013 Update: It wraps around, but still doesn't snap closed completely- yet!)

- When looking at my body in a mirror- when just wearing my underclothes- I would like to be able to see the side of my underwear NOT be hidden beneath a roll of fat at my hip.

- Run/jog a full 5K!

My Program:
M-F - Walk 30 minutes. Weather permitting.

Time allowing- My random draw program... I have written down exercises on index cards, Cardio or Strength (or both), and follow at least one section of the card.

I also incorporate exercise into chores like laundry and dishes.

I'm also going to start incorporating at least one Freggie into all of my meals, beyond the sauces!

In addition to that:
- I weigh in every Wednesday... IN MY CLOTHES!

- I try to take measurements at every 10lb milestone.



Personal Information:
I live in the Space Coast of Florida with my wonderful husband and imaginative son. I spend a lot of time at home, but I do love getting out for walks around the neighborhood as well!

    Thanks Jessi for comment on my post so true it really isa blessing I didn't get the position and that there is no chance that ti will ever get it I'm okay with it now but I'm not going to let them know I don't want or need the position now I will keep them guessing

    I didn't know you were running! WTG! It is a build up and it does take time. Don't push it! Just keep getting out there! And when you are running in high humidity and high temps your running will be slow. But when the weather gets cooler, all that hard work will pay off and you will run faster. (not that you need to worry about speed at this point, build endurance first.) My runs slow way down during the summer. and I mean WAY DOWN! Sometimes I think I'm walking....LOL

    Good luck with the house hunting! Just don't *settle* on a house. Make sure it's what you really want. I let my DH talk me into our house and I never have liked it. I've grown use to it and it is a blessing that we actually have a house and a small mortgage but still, not *my* house.
