Thanks for visiting my page! Since I rebooted my tracking system in November, I thought I'd take a look at this. It still had things about me being 25, which, is no longer the case. Obviously.
I feel very lucky to have my life. I have a great job, an awesome group of friends, I just recently bought a townhome that I am in love with, and I'm just generally a happy person. BUT. I feel like my weight is always something in my mind that is holding me back. I really went hard with the diet thing in 2012 and lost 42 pounds. Then in February 2013 I met my boyfriend and got mono pretty much right after that. I haven't been to the gym since March and I have been eating horribly all summer. As a result, I've gained back almost 30 pounds. I would say unbelievable, but this is kind of a pattern for me...
Of course I've tried losing weight before. Since about freshman year of undergrad I've been on and off a diet. I've tried Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast....the only thing that really worked for me was calorie counting. I lost nearly 50 pounds during my junior year of undergrad in 2006 using Sparkpeople, but by December 2010, I'd gained all but 14 of those pounds back. In 2011 I lost a little over 30 pounds.
The bottom line is I'm turning 30 in two years and I really want to feel comfortable going into that milestone. I want to be able to comfortably wear a size 12 and shop at any store. This goal won't quite get me there, but it's doable in the next year: I want to lose 50 pounds by my birthday in September 2014.
The Plan: I'm entering everything I eat on Sparkpeople. I know I need to eat out less. I also need to get back in the gym, even if I can't do the classes yet (I'm a member at 24 Hour Fitness).

Now...for the REAL stuff about me...
Things I like: brunches and happy hours, building blanket forts, The Mindy Project, Starbucks, David Sedaris, Tombstone, good romantic comedies (though I would never admit that out loud) and scary movies, trying out new recipes and making them healthier, the smell of a new purse, fall, thunderstorms, college football, trashy TV marathons (America's Next Top Model, Law and Order SVU), and 90s alternative rock.
Things I do not like: made up words like "synergy" or "agreeance," working out in front of other people, brussel sprouts, Tron, artificial nails, pumping gas, the Truvia commercials, soda, people who just sit there at sporting events and judge on the people who DO cheer, constant cell phone use, incense, and people who use too many emoticons. ;)
I want to be under 200 pounds by my 29th birthday. That means a loss of 50 pounds.
I will enter my calories into SparkPeople every day and stay under the calorie guidelines.
I will do some sort of exercise a minimum of 20 minutes for 3 days a week.
