I am in my 20's and have been over weight for many years now. I want to lose 100 lbs give or take a little. I need help with motivation, but once I get going it becomes a little easier. I would love a competition buddy or just someone I can encourage and will also encourage me!

My Goals:
I want to be healthy, feel less tired, and feel fit and able.

I want to be reasonable with goal setting but I want to lose so much weight that I feel like I could be easily discouraged, so I am going to start with setting a goal to exercise 2 times a week to start and to log my calories better even if I go way over my limits. Also of course to try to stay within my limits. and I would like to lose 10 lbs by the end of March and 20 (total) by the end of April.


My Program:
Starting by trying to get a buddy. I am using the Spark calorie tracker app on my phone, and set my computer background with a motivational pic from spark that says "Just 10 minutes of exercise can change your life."



Personal Information:
I grew up around the Lake of the Ozarks and now my husband and I are both students at colleges in the St. Louis area.
I want to make new friends and meet new people with similar goals that I can encourage daily and that can do the same for me so I am open to sharing email and maybe texts.


Other Information:
I love to cook and I love food. My husband and I being students don't bring in much money above what pays the bills so we can't always buy the best foods, so I am often even discouraged from cooking and have to eat things that aren't as healthy because we cannot always afford fresh.

    I love your goal--to "feel fit and able"--there is no better feeling. You will get there, and you don't have to have arrived at your "final destination" to feel that way. I remember when I was about 80 pounds down and still had 70 to go, I was training for a triathlon and even though I still had 3/4 of 100 pounds to go, I felt so much stronger and more fit than I had in SO long, I definitely felt ABLE. You can do it. Just remember it's one day at a time and short and long term goals. emoticon
