3 years ago, i was depressed, sick all the time, eating junk, felt like crap, had no energy, low self esteem, chronic pain and stomach issues that I suffered with for over 47 years.
But after changing what I ate and eating proper portion sizes and eat more fruits and veggies...I haven't been sick in the past 3 years. I have LOTS of energy! I am going to be 50 in June 2016 and I feel 25!! I no longer have pain and my stomach issues are gone! I have lost 28 inches and 46 lbs so far and I feel sooooo good!

My goal is to learn how to eat healthy and not go back to my old ways. I would like to be more fit than i have been in my entire adult life.
We live in Michigan. I am married and have 3 sons. Jake 24, Josh 23, and Shane 13. We have a 3 year old Female American Bulldog named Riley. I have done Slim in 6 and P90X. I am currently doing Les Mills PUMP. Love this workout. Love using a barbell way better than dumbbells. I am a caregiver for homebound seniors, so I like that I can get great results with 3 workouts a week with PUMP! If you wanna know more about this workout...just ask!

Oh my, so sorry to hear about your accident. But glad to see you are back here at spark. My husband and I actually left spark Jan 2011 (big regrets for us both, as we both have gained nearly 20 pounds since not tracking) I've done great with working out, but when not tracking, its so easy to eat larger portions than we should. We agreed that its time to get back to spark and track again.
As for the gluten free - we never did end up doing that (no idea how people actually do that LOL)
I'm currently training for a marathon. I have 2 weeks to decide what I want to do - I was planning a half marathon this year and full next - but now I'm thinking of possibly doing both this year (will make my decision in 2 weeks, as the fees go up April 1st, so I need to do it by end of March) Choice 1: half marathon June 2 - its the Hospital Hill run - from what I read, its a rather difficult run, as the course is very hilly (hence the name) and many people struggle with the June heat (not an issue for me, as I love the heat) Option 2: Full marathon Oct 2nd. Its the KC marathon. I really am tempted to do this one as well, but, Oct?? In Kansas?? It can easily be 30 degrees in the morning BRRRR and I don't do the cold. I was talking to my neighbor today (who ran the KCMarathon a couple years ago) He said the year he ran it, it was 30 when the race started, but got to 50 by the end of the race. I don't know... 2 weeks to decide.
