thanks for commenting on my empty nest blog. I'd love it if they come bouncing back. They can help me clean out the gorp they left behind. lol. Really, my kids are who I love to spend time with.
Yep, I do count cleaning as exercise, but since I have no thyroid, I do need to rev it up sometimes and add a bit more movement.
It is something that I'm very enthusiastic about. I wish I had more time--if we wanted to, we could go to an event every weekend except Christmas and Thanksgiving, pretty much. But we don't have that kind of time so we average about an event a month.
I'm also acutely allergic to horses, unfortunately! I love horses and was definitely a horse-mad girl; even took lessons for a while. But my allergies were too much for it--it's a sad thing when a horse-mad 10 year old realizes that riding just isn't something she can do, but that's life.
There aren't a lot of equestrian activities, at least in our area--horses are expensive so not that many people own them and it's hard to find a site that will let us do them (jousting, etc.). The events that I go to that do have equestrian, I don't have to go anywhere near the horses, though I do like to watch. Straw and hay are my bigger allergy problems at events, especially outdoor summer events, since we use bales to mark the edges of the lists (fencing, armored) and the archery range and the like. 1969 days ago
