For Me, For God, For Life

I am Sheri, 44 years young, and have been part of SparkPeople for a number of years on and off. The only reason for being on and off are my 38 medical health reasons. I've learned a lot in the past 2 years, including how strong one can be without realizing it. Having the right supports in place and the right coping techniques makes all the difference in the world.
I'm not expecting a miracle, but I am expecting to be here a few times each week and to try and keep a Positive Focus on my life through my days.
Sweetie, the stray cat who wandered into my life in 2010 is still with me and will be 4 on January 1, 2014. :)

My Goals:
I am returning from an absence from going through a 'Nervous Breakdown' that began in November 2011, which I am still going through. I'm simply here to get as fit as possible with 38medical conditions, and very LIMITED mobility, and to encourage others to be all they can be and enjoy who they are in spite of and despite whatever circumstances may come their way. I love my life, I love God even more, and I intend on being as healthy as I can be with my medical issues with the help and grace of God.

My Program:
I have recorded a program called SIT AND BE FIT to do here at home, but for the most part, walking is my main source of exercise, with the use of my walker. I eat healthy and have for 6 years now, and that does not need to change. I bring no junk food into my home and have disciplined myself to eat what is healthy and even found great alternatives for the sweet and salt cravings we all get. If I want junk food, I have to go out to get it and make an effort to do so.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Ontario in Canada. Oshawa, Ontario is my hometown though I currently live in Peterborough, Ontario. I am a writer, crafter and artist; do not work for obvious reasons; believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior; love my parents and my brother and his family dearly. I'm happily divorced and do not have children, again for medical reasons. I adore black cats and have had them for 24 years now - am on my 4th one. I play piano, craft, do art, and enjoy my life.

Happy Monday!

I'm out of work today. No exercising for me until Wednesday—having a little procedure done on Tuesday and I am off my blood thinner. Planning to rest and relax. I enjoyed my mother/daughter day. I rocked it Friday and Saturday...Sunday not so much. But today is a new day...fresh start.
