Thanks, MT-MOONCHASER, for that suggestion. I appreciate that. Not being a soda-pop fan, I'm sorry I can't relate to your dilemma. :) However, I have had other "addictions" I've overcome; smoking, alcohol and caffeine, so I can empathize. Good luck!

I saw your comment on the pumpkin "flan" recipe and just wanted to suggest that you measure out whole eggs in the amount that the recipe calls for. Break an egg into a dish and then put it into a measuring cup, repeat until you have as much egg as called for. A bit more or less shouldn't make much difference to the recipe.
I applaud your stance on using artificial ingredients. I try to do that myself as much as possible. I would rather use less sugar than use a sugar substitute while cooking. I wish I could just do that with the diet soda, too... I've been trying to wean myself off of it without much success.

It's a wonder I actually stayed away so long considering how amazing you are! Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to write "welcome back" comments on my page. I may have been here in spirit -- though not in effort, I have to admit - all along. I gained back almost every pound I previously lost over the 5+months I've been "away" but won't let that get me down. It was impossible to concentrate on everything that I had to at once so certain things (including myself) had to take a back seat and I'm okay with that because this will be a new year of fresh starts on many different fronts. So glad you're here to share it with! I really appreciate all of your support and your friendship. 2013 will definitely be the year to make things happen. Just a little more catching up to do first and then I can finally, fully, put focus on me... something I'm very much looking forward to!
This will be a better year -- for us both! (I accidentally lost you from my friend list the other day as I was cleaning out people who haven't been on longer than me! Augh. So sorry -- I've re-added you!)

I just wanted to say hi and tell you that even though I've been away from SP for the past several months (bogged down with work and stress) I am looking forward to ending the mighty-year-of-challenges that has plagued me this past year and start fresh soon... I may be still a bit scarce around here for the next little while but I did want to let you know that I've been thinking of you and hope you are doing well in life, in happiness, and in your journey.
And if you've disappeared yourself over the past bit, perhaps we can come back together? Stronger? More resilient? And even better than before!
