My adult weight range is from 140 - 230. I've previously only lost weight when I was stressed! My favorite food group is "gooey", but my eating habits are not horrible. Regular meals, fruits and veg, just too many treats and not enough exercise. Wish I was as prone to sleek as my hounds!

My Goals:
I'm trying to learn to love running so I won't have to poke myself to exercise. I want to reach a healthy weight with the tools to remain there.

1/30/2013 - New driver's license photo! DONE! So much thinner than the last one.

10/31/2013 - Weight at 145, or adjust the goal to a weight I will maintain with a reasonable effort. I'm not coming back this way!

My Program:
2013: Keto-adapted vegetarian. 60 minutes of vigorous cardio at least 4x per week.

2010 - 2013: Plant-based, low fat, very few calories in liquid form. At least 45 minutes of vigorous cardio 3x per week, some strength training.

Before 2010 - eat whatever non-meat I want, whenever I want, do no exercise, and weigh about 200 lbs.

Oh, to be as effortlessly sleek as my greyhounds!

Thanks for your support and your helpful explanation on how the A1c works. Normally I would not even have tested after 4 weeks, but I really wanted to know if I'm on the right track or if I need to go to Atkins induction. Thank God I get to keep my berries for now. emoticon emoticon

I don't know how I missed that comment on your page, to "maintain with reasonable effort" --- you need to blog that one, it is so much more profound than it appears at first glance!

Thanks so much for the comment on the blog - I was really hoping for your input. It's tough to figure out when I'm looking at sizes that I haven't been since I was a kid.

The Man and I were chatting about it, and I'm considering setting myself in the "maintenance range" for 150 lbs after the surgery, and then just seeing what my body decides to do with it. I won't have a time line after that, so I figure I can take a few months there and tweak if I need to.

Hope you had a great time at the 5k's last weekend, and are enjoying a more relaxing time this weekend!
