The Past, Present and Future
2008 is ending with: 1. my blood pressure under control without meds. 2. the back pain gone most of the time. 3. being 60 pounds lighter than when I started with Spark in 2008. 4. feeling 100 years younger. 2008 is ending with: 1. my blood pressure under control without meds. 2. the back pain gone most of the time. 3. being 60 pounds lighter than when I started with Spark in 2008. 4. feeling 100 years younger. My 2009 Goals: To stay with Spark! To be heathier at the end of 2009 than I am at the start. To continue to unclutter my life. To take one day at a time. To live every day as if it were my last. I haven't included how I plan on achieving these goals. Instead I wanted to include what I had written when I started in 2008. I don't want to forget where I was and how far I have come! In 2008 my page title was: Sheltielady loses it, hopefully Then I wrote: Hi, I am a 62 year old Alabama gal. I raise & show Shetland Sheepdogs as well as show secretary for some dog shows. I hurt my back, then had a hysterectomy now I find myself very overweight. My BMI says obese. (ugh) Show season starts in November so I have made my goal to lose 50 lbs. before November. I will need your prayers! UPDATE: As of 8/30/08 My BMI no longer says obese. My original goal was to lose 50 pounds. I knew I needed to lose more but truthfully never thought that I would lose even that 50. Well that goal has been met. I have reset my goal and am out to get the last 20 off too. I know now that I CAN do it. UPDATE: November saw 60 pounds gone and my being pretty happy with being 140 pounds again. I am still working on losing more but I am in no hurry. Becoming fitter has become more improtant than what the scale says.

My Goals:
To get my blood pressure down and to help my hips be able to do there job without pain. 11/03/08 UPDATE: My BP is down & I am no longer in pain. Now my goal is to keep this up. i still have a few pounds I would like to lose in order to look better but it is no longer a situatuon of lose it or die. Praise the LORD!
My Program:
I am tracking my food & I love that Sparks keeps track of the sodium for me. I am keeping active. I vary me exercise to fit my new life. Some days it is the gym, some workouts at home and some it is running around the dog show ring. I so wanted to be able to run around that ring when I first started Spark and now there is nothing to stop me.
