Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! No, one slip-up does not a ruin make, but it sure can be painful on the scales! But then comes the re-cap and we try again, right? I hope you have a real good week and run into no more traps! 1744 days ago
Maybe next time try to leave the house on your walk at the time she is making something hard to resist? You can grab some trail mix and fruit and walk off the temptation for the high calorie bread! But awesome job on planning a healthy dinner, at least you salvaged your day from a morning mistake!
I'm trying to do the same thing with carbs, cut out the whites and move to more veggies. I struggle getting enough servings of vegetables. I messed up today too by skipping my spinach leaf salad w/sliced almonds for a toasted cheese sandwich with mayo. Boy do cheese calories add up fast!.
On my days off, I am usually traveling the 200 miles to home to spend with my Boyfriend or he is coming up here and we tend to cheat on our healthy eating while we are visiting each other. If I'm home by myself, I end up sleeping a lot more jsut out of exhaustion from work. I need to work on getting motivated to go walking on my days off!
I'm with you on the carbs train! Those are my weakness, I need encouragement to stay away! I'm discovering that home-made trail mix (I'm allergic to peanuts, so no pre-packaged mixes for me!) helps me get a carb fix in a better and delicious way. Are you going to try and cut all carbs (pastas/breads?) or do a switch into whole wheat ? I do the exercise part easily too, at least on days I am working, my job keeps me moving A LOT. I need help staying motivated on my days off though, maybe you can help? :)
