I have been on my journey to lose weight since January 25, 2010 and have been VERY successful this time around! Once you put your mind to it you can do anything!!! I didnt believe it at the time but I am now a firm believer that you have to put in your time to get what you want/deserve.

I have lost almost 60 pounds to date. Actually 9 pounds more than that from my heaviest weight, to which I lost the pounds but quickly got out of a routine. Although I didnt gain it back(thankfully) I never lost anymore. Then January 2010 came and I decided to change my life for good.

Being a wife and a full time mother of two is a hard task. I normally have to go to the gym as soon as hubby comes home from work or after the kids go to bed. Eating healthy was very hard in the beginning but now its just a normal habit. And what makes it even better is my husband and children are also eating better.

In January I started off weighing 186 pounds and a size 20 pants!!! As of today I am 128 and wear between a size 6 & 8 (depending on brand). I am so proud of what I have accomplished! I was never ashamed of myself at my heaviest. I was just miserable and uhappy with myself & my body. Today I am ashamed of what I was doing to myself and my body.......but thank goodness I changed my life around.

Well in June 2011 I fell and hurt my knee pretty badly and couldnt work out for 10 weeks, I then started into the bad habits again and started gaining weight back! Once the kids went back to school in September I told myself that I would get back to the gym but that never happened....I would go maybe once a month! I just kept making excuses NOT to eat healthy and workout ( is HARD WORK) After the christmas/new year holiday school break was over I PROMISED my family I would get back on track. I had gained about 29 pounds back since June! Since January 3rd I am happy to say that I have lost almost 10 pounds!!!! And what do you know.....I am so full of energy and way happier again! Maintenance is WAY harder than I expected it to be but I now realize I HAVE to eat better and excercise regularly.

My Goals:
I want to be at a healthy weight and lifestyle for my children and myself of course!

My Program:
I go to the gym 4-6 days a week for 45 minutes to an hour each time. I am glued to the elliptical or the treadmill. I dont like to lift weights there so I do some at home with my free weights.

March 2010 I discovered that I liked to run. So on the cooler days I love to be outside of the gym and run.

    Tina, I wish you well and hope you have the same success I have had. Definately hard work but its all worth it! Let me know if you need anything. I have had my many ups and downs, so if you need advise let me know. The message boards are awesome.
