"Journey to the Rest Of My LIFE"

Hi all!

My name is Shelli. I just turned 45 about 3 weeks ago & decided then that it was time to make some changes. And then it took me 2 more weeks to put feet to my plans. I've walked 1/2 mile twice every day except yesterday when I only managed once. I know 1/2 mile twice a day may not seem like much to some, but, that's more than I've walked for exercise in, well, forever & I'm pretty excited!

Hi all!

My name is Shelli. I just turned 45 about 3 weeks ago & decided then that it was time to make some changes. And then it took me 2 more weeks to put feet to my plans. I know 1/2 mile twice a day may not seem like much to some, but, that's more than I've walked for exercise in, well, forever & I'm pretty excited!

I can't wait til I can get my stamina built up some more so I can take a Zumba class!

This is the bazzillionth time I've tried to lose weight. I've probably gained & loss & gained & loss & gained thousands of pounds.

2 1/2 years ago, I was laid off from my job after 22 years (I was only off 9 months & was called back) & during that time I went back to school & actually lost about 60 lbs over about a year.

Since being back to work, I am always so tired that I don't do much outside of the factory. I've been too tire to "bother" with cooking or eating healthy, so I've gained back about 40 lbs.


The final straw this time was when I had to put my "fat FAT jeans" back on. And they were tight!

Last Tuesday, after "accidentally" finding SparkPeople, I checked out the site, signed up & made the decision to get started. So, I went to the grocery (which I hadn't done in weeks~~we were eating out most meals) & bought better & healthier things. And Wed., I started my "Journey to the Rest Of My LIFE"!!! I'm recording every bite of food I put into my mouth here on the site, as well as my water intake & activity. I just LOVE SparkPeople!

I know that this time is THE time and I WILL do it!
