2013 - My Year of Change
Instead of writing an intro, I want to document my monthly accomplishments here instead. If you would like to know more about me, follow my blog...sometimes I am more honest than I should be! My starting weight was 230...I have struggled with my weight my entire life. January: I am finally understanding what I need to do to drop this weight. Instead of writing an intro, I want to document my monthly accomplishments here instead. If you would like to know more about me, follow my blog...sometimes I am more honest than I should be! My starting weight was 230...I have struggled with my weight my entire life. January: I am finally understanding what I need to do to drop this weight. I am also making the emotional connections that I have to food. I learned growing up, to cope with emotions, you eat. I am now trying to unlearn this. Knowing what is happening it the first step! February: Stopping and taking a moment to think BEFORE eating for emotional reasons does wonders! Plus, figuring out what your feeling helps in other parts of your life...I'm finding I was ignoring my emotions so much by eating, that it took me time to understand the difference between anger, sadness, frustration, etc. When you numb yourself with food...emotions seem to have only one label and it doesn't seem to help me resolve anything else in my life. Stopping, thinking and understanding has made a world of difference! March: If you don't understand WHY you are eating or treating yourself with anything else but love, you will never lose the weight Kristi. You need to get to the heart of the problem to understand and resolve it! April: I never considered myself a binge eater. However, after this month, I am realizing what I am doing. I do well for several days, then something worries, upsets or frustrates me, and I take it out on food. Well, I take it out truly on my body, because its my body that suffers when I eat. Then, I spend the next week trying to lose what I gained and then it happens again. This is why I keep going up and down the same 5-10 pounds. April...you were an eye opener!

Means: 1550 calories a day plus 500 calorie burn a day! Mathmatically, it works. Let's see what happens! Go Fitbit and SP!

* Fitbit - Tracking fitness/steps * SP - Tracking food, connecting with Fitbit One * WW Meetings - For emotional support and encouragement * No soda, unless going to a bar, then can have Diet Coke * Limiting sugar, usually have on Saturday (1x) * Gluten Free * Keep dairy to a minimum, lactose intolerant

Location: Southern Cali Love the beach, walking outdoors, hanging out with friends, going to the movies, reading and have a passion for travel. Truly believe you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to! Very optimistic and looking forward to learning how to be healthy once and for all!
