Sheleen - shedding pounds (I Hope!)

I'm a mum of three, hurtling(screaming and kicking) into my forties - happily married to the most wonderfully patient and understanding man on the planet! Iam also, as from November 2008, a grandma to a beautiful little girl named Lily Anne Rose. She calls me Nonna. I am a very proud Nan :)
I started to diet when my scales broke because I weighed too much. That was around the 280lb mark. I'm now down 140lbs from there, and have just 18lb more to go.

Well, from June until November 2008, I gained over 40 lbs - after doing so well, I could have kicked myself (only then I might've fallen over - not easy to kick yourself!). Instead, I gave myself a good talking to, and changed my life back around.

I started off again with 44 lbs to lose, and after reaching the halfway mark and already having shed 22 lbs, I'm feeling much more positive. I'm expecting bad days, hard days and downright awful days (weeks, even!) but I WILL succeed!

Oh, how the slim have gained weight! I have so much to lose, that I am somewhat daunted - 75lbs is my goal now, and I kn ow how hard that will be. Still, maybe now I have actually admitted how much I weigh and managed to find the will to weigh myself again, things will be easier. The hardest part was getting on those scales again... what a horrid shock! From now on, it's downwards all the way (downwards in weight... maybe I should have said "downwards all the weigh"...?) and up, up, up in happiness and contentment!

My Goals:
My main goal is to be so in control of my diet and health, that I am able to come off all my meds for diabetes...
I would love to look amazing for when my daughter gets married in September. I already missed out on my grandaughters christening, and am determined to bring wonderful changes to my life (and body!)

My Program:
I exercise every day - without fail. And I am trying to eat properly and healthily.

I used to exercise for at least one hour every day, but because of my rheumatoid arthritis, I have decided to start reducing the amount of exercise I do - I don't want to rely on exercise for weight loss, but rather eat well and stay active.
Since regaining some weight (naughty me!) I am back to exercising every day - but only half an hour at a time. I'm steely determined to reach my new goal of 125 lbs.


Personal Information:
I'm a stay-at-home mum of four, happily married to a wonderful man.
My friends call me 'Charley' or 'Sheleen'... and sometimes 'oi!'
Now in my 40's - I would love to look like I'm still in my twenties (only in my dreams). *lol*

Other Information:
I love christmas movies and reading ghost stories and thrillers. Love anything to do with fitness, dieting, DIY and gardening on the television... and very loud music :)
Hampshire strawberries and Italian baby plum tomatoes are probably the two foods I couldn't live without... but pizza and chocolate come pretty darn close *lol*
