My Goals:
1. To fit into the really nice size 10 clothes that have been packed away for the last few years. 2. To reduce the time it takes me to swim a mile to 30 minutes, which would be half of what it is now. 3. To cycle at a sustained 15 miles per hour for 60 minutes (another power increase) 4. To go from walking to running, which also means strengthening my leg muscles enough to support my messed up knees, which means adding regular strength training to my life.

My Program:
Eat 1200 to 1500 calories per day and get 4 to 6 hours of cardio exercise per week.

Personal Information:
I'm 50-year old tech worker who has been out of work for a while and is trying to make good use of all my extra time. I have one grown son who I don't see nearly enough. I love to cook, garden, and waste time on the internet. I believe that motivation is highly over-rated, and discipline is highly under-rated, and I do not like it when people say they can't stop eating or that they don't have the motivation to exercise. I'm not on a "journey" and I'm not "making a lifestyle change." I'm just living the life I want to live. I often sprinkle my writing with alot of smileys, because smiling is nice. :)

Thanks for the tea suggestions, but I can only drink cold tea without sugar. I still need sugar in hot teas. And, I tend to put too much. I finally weaned myself from not putting it in my iced tea. I think at one point, I used 20! OUCH.
