Shayna's Countdown

I'm 22 years old, and wanting to lose weight. I gained a lot of weight in college due to late nights, bad eating habits, and inconsistent workout schedules. Over the summer after graduation I completed the C25K program and lost 20 lbs!

I just started work on my PhD in neuroscience, but rather than get back into bad school-time habits I want to keep running, keep eating right, and continue to slim down and get more fit!

My Goals:
GW1= 169 lbs (done!)
GW2= 165 lbs (done!)
GW3= 161 lbs (done!)
GW4= 159 lbs (done!)
GW5= 155 lbs (done!)
GW6= 151 lbs
GW7= 149 lbs
GW8= 145 lbs
GW9= 141 lbs
GW10= 139 lbs
GW11= 135 lbs
(Maybe after I get to 135 I will go for my life-long dream of 120, but at this point getting to 135 would feel outstanding.)

My Program:
Eating: Just tracking what I eat and attempting to keep my calories, carbs, fat, and protein all within the ranges suggested by SparkPeople.

Exercise: I finished the Couch to 5K program in August '09. Now I'm just running 3.5+ miles three days a week and trying to incorporate regular hiking, strength training, and yoga.

Hi, I came upon your site when looking for people in my area who have similar goals as I do. I'm impressed! You are doing a great job.. its inspiring. I noticed you had small goals for the weight loss - did you feel like that helped you stay focused and not get overwhelmed by a larger number?
