Marvelous Part Two

I've been here before. But, in the interest of letting go and making a fresh start, I'm beginning again.

I've been studying diligently to become the photographer I've always dreamed of being. I want to create the most beautiful art. But I've become so focused on this that I hadn't realized that I haven't been in more than five (undeleted) photos over the past five years. I've been here before. But, in the interest of letting go and making a fresh start, I'm beginning again.

I've been studying diligently to become the photographer I've always dreamed of being. I want to create the most beautiful art. But I've become so focused on this that I hadn't realized that I haven't been in more than five (undeleted) photos over the past five years. During a workshop, the instructors spoke about the importance of "existing in photos" for your children and their children. For the first time, I felt a compelling desire to be a subject in my own work. This will take work on my skills, but also on myself.

My 46-year-old body needs some love and a rebirth into something fit and useful for the things I've been longing to do. I want to hike and photograph freely and run 5 Ks and wear the t-shirts.

So, join me, if you will, as I leave behind all of the times I've started and stopped. I really feel like there's nothing else in my way.

My Goals:
I need to lose a lot of weight, but my goal is to be fit and small so that I will be able to do all of the outdoorsy things I very much long to do.

First things first:

-20 lbs. And a rediscovering of my flexibility and underlying strength. By our anniversary in March.

-50 lbs. by the time Summer ends in August. (260 lbs.)

I'm using my new fitbit to stay on track with my exercise.

We have three dreamy kids, 14, 19, and 24. I'm in love with each of them!
