Sharon's Spot

Well, here I am again. I have gained back almost everything I had lost, so now I need to start again.

There has been one problem after another (as I'm sure most everyone has experienced) starting in October of 2008. My husband has been in and out of the hospital and emergency room. The majority of our year has been spent in doctor's offices, hospital, ER, and labs for tests.

There has been one problem after another (as I'm sure most everyone has experienced) starting in October of 2008. My husband has been in and out of the hospital and emergency room. The majority of our year has been spent in doctor's offices, hospital, ER, and labs for tests.

I think we have finally got most of the issues resolved for him and now I need to arrange for my knees to be done. I'm very nervous about that because there is a chance of blood loss and I will NOT accept blood transfusions and also because I have difficulty coming out of anesthesia. But it must be done so I had better get my act together and muster up my courage. Once that is finally done and healed I should b e able to walk away some of this excess poundage.

I friend of mine has had one knee done and will have the other one done at the end of August this year. Her daughter is going to give blood several times before the surgery in case her Mom has to have a transfusion, but she didn't the first time. So, maybe that is a possibility, giving your own blood before the surgery, just in case?
I have two other friends who have had both knees done and they say it is sooooo wonderful to not have that pain anymore! I understand it is a painful surgery, but very worth it when it is all over. The one friend did lose lots of weight because she could walk again! Good luck and God Bless!
