My Health and Wellness Journey to Lose Weight #battling

Wife, mother of 2 started a journey to lose weight a year ago using Bill Philips book, worked out well, but I got lazy and lost motivation to keep the weight off. Last year I weighed in at 169 lost down to 147 and slowly edged back up to 157 held that for a while until now where I am currently weighing in at 162. I want this weight back off and want to know how to keep it off with proper motivation.

I know that part of my mistake is being lazy and not taking advanatage of exercising in the mornings as I started out. I continue to eat right but loose the thrust to excercise.

I am hoping that SPARKPEOPLE will help jump start my motivation and give me continued sucess in keeping the weight off!

My Goals:
Lose weight up to 20 lbs total

Lose 5 -8 lbs in 1 month

Lose 17 pounds by end of year, December 11th is the new date

Get back to feeling healthy and motivated

Eat right everyday except
for one (I'll give myslef a break)

Stay motivated and continue to move



My Program:
Eating right with lots of fruits beggies and protein.
5-6 portion controlled meals a day 6 days out of the week 7 th day by eating what I want but not over eating
Excerscise 4-6 times per weeking using cardio and weight lifting

Congrats on finishing Supreme 90! It's something I hope to accomplish also :) Glad, to see it worked for you. Do you plan on putting up pics for after Supreme 90?

oh my, I'm sorry to hear that... that's a painful surgery in many ways. Google BMR calculator (I believe SP has one too.. only I can never figure out how to get to it lol) BMR (basal metabolic rate) is the calories your body burns just existing. You should be eating at least this amount... and with no exercise, that's the number of calories you should be consuming to prevent weight gain. You may lose a little, because not being able to exercise- you'll lose a little muscle mass. But it's nothing you can't get back so don't stress. Anyways- if you Google BMR calculator, you'll be able to plug in your numbers and get yours. Unfortunately, this does involve counting calories. Try using SP's food tracker. It's really easy and gives you a range of calories to stay within based on your BMR and activity level. Hope you feel better soon!
