2011: Time to get serious
Hi, I'm 48 years old and am an RN, who works in the newborn nursery, postpartum area. I have been exercising quite religiously for the last 11 years. Hi, I'm 48 years old and am an RN, who works in the newborn nursery, postpartum area. I have been exercising quite religiously for the last 11 years. This year I am hoping to get back on track with eating and increase my exercise to what it once was. Over the last year I have managed to workout at least two to three times per week but would like to add another day or two. My oldest son convinced me to join his gym with him (although I already have a membership elsewhere), he is into body building and is really trying to learn good nutrition habits. So I have joined and try to go with him once per week to lift weights. I have exercised since he was six months old ( he is19 years old now) and made it a priority, I guess it rubbed off on him. Two years ago I had knee surgery and it hasn't been the same since. I still attend bosu class two times a week, but gone are the 25 miles per week running. I love to vacation in Hawaii and go skiing in Mammoth Mountain with my husband and three sons.
