2011: Time to get serious

I'm 48 years old and am an RN, who works in the newborn nursery, postpartum area. I have been exercising quite religiously for the last 11 years.
This year I am hoping to get back on track with eating and increase my exercise to what it once was. Over the last year I have managed to workout at least two to three times per week but would like to add another day or two. I'm 48 years old and am an RN, who works in the newborn nursery, postpartum area. I have been exercising quite religiously for the last 11 years.
This year I am hoping to get back on track with eating and increase my exercise to what it once was. Over the last year I have managed to workout at least two to three times per week but would like to add another day or two. My oldest son convinced me to join his gym with him (although I already have a membership elsewhere), he is into body building and is really trying to learn good nutrition habits. So I have joined and try to go with him once per week to lift weights. I have exercised since he was six months old ( he is19 years old now) and made it a priority, I guess it rubbed off on him. Two years ago I had knee surgery and it hasn't been the same since. I still attend bosu class two times a week, but gone are the 25 miles per week running.
I love to vacation in Hawaii and go skiing in Mammoth Mountain with my husband and three sons.

Hi Shannon - Happy Holidays!!!! I have been thinking of you. I hope all is well. Are you ready for all the festivities? We don't have a lot of holiday parties which suits me fine. I'm looking forward to spending time with family and chilling actually. Kenyon and i have tomorrow off to hopefully finish up some shopping. I've been doing some baking and trying to stay out of the goodies then - lol. Bree is doing well. I saw her this past week and she looks great. She does have another year or so of monitored visits that I believe include chemo pills that she takes. i'm hoping to see her mom over the holidays to get more details. How are all your boys? Are you still getting your exercise in and eating well? I am constantly back and forth with both but I do eat better than I used to so that is something. Let me know how everything is when you have time. ((hugs))

Hello and Happy July 4th!!! I hope all is well. Bree is doing ok right now. She will be starting that last phase of her chemo next week I believe. Hopefully this will do it!!! How is summer? We just came back from Jamaica and while I loved it there it was great to be home. Check in when you come. I'm going to be on a little more. I'm trying to get in a little more exercise and using some of Nicole's videos for right now - something different.
