Shanie's Road to Health

50 pounds down and reached my goal!!! Now I have a new goal of 20 pounds to reach my ideal weight. :)

I decided to take up running for the first time ever in the beginning of 2010 and I ran my first half marathon in Oct 2010, after many other shorter races to prepare for it.

For my 2011 goal, my friend and I have decided to participate in one race per month. Started Jan. with the Polar Bear 5K... it was great! I hope to run my first full marathon in Oct 2011.

My Goals:
To be a healthier, happier, longer living ME.

My Program:
I have begun to track my eating habits which has really opened my eyes. I guess I didn't really think of the number of calories that one meal can be. I am starting my FIRST Aerobic class at the YMCA and hopefully I will be able to stay focused enough to continue to go. Change must come slowly if it is going to be permanent.

Other Information:
I would say I am definitely a movie person as well as a part-time gamer. I am looking forward to the new Wii Balance accessory that will also help in my weight loss progress. Anything to get you moving is a good thing. :)
