adventure in health!

this winter i've spent way too much time inside and it's driving me nuts... and has also taken my weight above my previous comfortably curvy state. i've dealt with eating issues in the past so i'm joining sparkpeople to have a positive way to track my fitness and nutrition to make sure that my HEALTH is the forefront of my weight loss.

i live in seattle, and i'm a student, radical activist, cyclist, baker, seamstress, dancer... amongst many other things. i like bikes, ...

i live in seattle, and i'm a student, radical activist, cyclist, baker, seamstress, dancer... amongst many other things. i like bikes, sustainability, and radical change. oh - i'm vegan/freegan too! freegan means i dumpsterdive food and will eat things with eggs and dairy in them if they come from a dumpster as to not waste the ingredients, but when I am eating at a resturant or buying groceries i always buy 100% vegan, local, organic.

My Goals:
To be confident and happy with myself.
To keep my health at the forefront of all of my decisions.
To follow my fitness and eating programs and be happy with whatever my body weighs after following these programs for 6 months, then maintaining that weight.

My Program:
Running the "Couch to 5k Program" and doing strength training on my off days. Eating between 1200 - 1500 calories/day. Riding my bike 4 miles round trip to school every morning once the weather gets better.
