Hello all! Shadelily here, feel free to call me either Shade or Lily. I am 39, a mother to 3 boys and one pit bull. I have been with my husband for nearly ten years, though we only recently officially tied the knot. I home school my boys and want to lose weight so I can be more active and do more with them.

General goal:

Find healthy ways to deal with stress and depression




My Program:
My program is to stay low on the carb scale with most of them coming from veggies and fruits, with only a few coming from whole grains. I try to stay in the middle on the fat scale, with as many natural fats as possible. I try to stay middle to high on the proteins with lean beefs, chicken, and pork. I am trying to cut out processed foods. In essence I am doing a modified Paleo diet.

4/2/14 Kicked the soda habit

4/20/14 dropped artificial water flavoring

10 minutes 6 days a week-Achieved in April 2014

4/20-4/26- Hit 108 fitness minutes in a week.

5/12/14-First 10 pounds lost!

Thanks for your comment today. I had quite a few soups in the freezer recently, but we cleaned it out so I don't have a lot of them in there anymore. I did manage to get a microwave, so I can heat up some broth and tea at the very least. I'll be back on track soon!

Hello Lily My name is Joe. I came acros your post on 100lbs to lose. I understand the struggle to lose . I was at the same place a year and half ago. I have now lost 90lbs doing it naturaly no surgary. i am 5/7 and weighed 330lbs. I now weigh 240 and still losing. Happy to hear you eat breakfest that is the big one. I eat every 2.5 to 3 hours. It helps alot. Like you had a hard time after lunch. I tryed many things. I discovered a bean vegetable soup that fills me at luch. Gets me to my snack in the after noon and then have supper. I have put lots of things in place and take it day to day. I would be more then happy to let you know what works for me hopefully some if it will help you. Keep fighting and take it day to day!
