Well, my name is Sarah. I am a 23-year old college student. I received my BS of Animal Science in December 2010 and will graduate in May 2015 as a veterinarian. Well, my name is Sarah. I am a 23-year old college student. I received my BS of Animal Science in December 2010 and will graduate in May 2015 as a veterinarian. I've always been a bit on the heavy side but my weigh has slowly crept up. Back in 2010 I found spark and lost 20 pounds in a few months. I was happy and healthier. Then I let school, my excuses and bad habits get in the way. In 2011, I worked at a horse farm in Kentucky and found myself down to 213lbs. It was the smallest I could ever remember. Then once again: school, excuses and more bad habits led my weigh to right back to the beginning. I am trying to get on track this summer and build healthy so that when classes start this fall (supposedly my most difficult semester) I can't derail. I am committed to losing weight to be healthier and to be more fit. Heart disease runs in the men in my family and I want to make sure that it doesn't happen to me. My eventual goal is to weigh 160 but I am changing my goals to go in increments as to not freak myself out. Hopefully you all are progressing in your goals and I would love any words of encouragement or advice you could give me.

My Goals:
Weight: - I would like to be down to 200lbs by 2013. It will be the smallest I can remember being! - I WILL eventually end up at 160lbs. - I want to loose inches!! Lifestyle: - I would like to make better food choices. I will not let food have power over me! - I want a sustainable lifestyle change. Something that works for me. Something I plan to do for the rest of my life.
My Program:
Nutrition - Keep calories between 1490 and 1770. - Eat at least two fruits/veggies per day - Drink 6 glasses of water a day Fitness - Cardio at least 5 times a week (for the summer that is Zumba, Rollerblading, Spin Class and horseback riding) - Strength training 2-3 times a week (TRX Tuesdays and free weights)
Personal Information:
I am from North Dakota but currently go to school in Iowa. I have a great family of 2 sisters, 2 brothers and 4 wonderful nieces. I love animals. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I also love horses, though unfortunately do not own any. But I do spend as much time around them as possible.
