My Goals:
1. Lose 17 pounds by middle of by middle of March (I have lost 5 of that 17)
2. If I sign up for a challenge, I will do whatever I can to meet that challenge
3. Meditate at least 10 minutes a day (I will also read my readings from the bible, al-anon books and grief books)
4. Drink 8 cups of water a day
5. I will exercise:
Daily: 20 30 cardio
2 x week: Upper body strengthening
2 X week: Lower body strengthening
2 x week: Yoga
6. I will go to an Al-anon meeting at least once a week


My Program:
I am committed to keep up with my nutrution and exercise on a daily basis. I leave my readings on the kitchen table (which by the way drives me nuts) Water is not much of a problem for me but the exercise - I need a new buddy

Personal Information:
I am 53 and from Oklahoma. I have 2 daughters 29 and 27 and each of them have a daughters, 4 1/2 and 2 1/2. These grandkids are what have motivated me to get healthy

Other Information:
I went to Lifestyles of American in November 2007 for 2 weeks to get my diabetes in control. I was doing great, lost 20 pounds and then in Feb of 2008 my 3 day old grandson died (SIDS) and my whole life feel apart. My daughter, the mother, returned to drugs, left her husband for someone else, then my mother passes away in Oct 2008 and my Dad July 2009. Even though I continued to be a vegetarian, I also became the biggest sweet eater I have ever been. I am here to get back to all good eating and exercising

to find fastbreak techniques:
go to your start page, and somewhere in the middle you'll see 'diet stages'; click on that and you'll find descriptions of the four stages. 'fastbreak', the first one, covers the first two weeks or so until you have collected all kinds of healthy habits.
i'm sure that's how you started out on spark!
