There has been a lot of happy and exciting changes in my life in the past year, between wedding planning, getting a new job and being a newlywed I have not been eating as healthy as I could be and rarely exercising...I need some serious motivation to eat better and get my body back in shape! (and help my husband become more active as well!)

We don't belong to a gym but have more than enough workout videos to get the job done. It's hard for me to find time and motivation to workout after work, especially being on my feet all day, but I know I can do it!

Logging my meals and workouts has helped me before and I am excited to start again and get back on track :)

I am starting with Jillian's 30 Day Shred and moving onto Ripped in 30. I am also hoping to run two 5k races this summer! Couch to 5k will be one of my workouts, as long as the sidewalks aren't frozen.

My Goals:
• Make healthier choices, especially when eating out

• Drink 8 glasses of water a day

• Get leaner and maintain my weight


My Program:
• Exercise at least 5 days a week for 50 minutes

• Do more strength training

• Keep healthy foods in fridge and always have fruit and veggies available




Personal Information:
I love to travel...my favorite places are Florence and Madrid, though an occasional trip to the Mexican beaches seems to cure anything and everything.

I really enjoy trying out new restaurants with family and friends. Two really delicious ones are Cubanitas in Milwaukee, and Quartinos in Chicago.

    Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

    Thanks so much for the blog comment! Yeah.... I have a while to go before I will be able to just survive the whole thing without pushing the pause button. But knowing that people (real people, not just Jillian Michaels) can do it and survive it pushes me to be able to do it myself :)
