January 2009: I have struggled with my weight for the past few years. I have continued to lose, just to gain it all back and then a little more each time. I really need to be faithful and determined and continue to lose it and keep it off for my own health!
Update Novermber 2009: I have now been on Spark People for over 10 months. I have lost over 25 pounds with SP!! I never imagined I would be able to do it and I look forward to the next 15 - 20 pounds, although I do not think they will be quite as easy!
In the past 10 months, I have jogged 3 5ks and one 7 mile race... I never imagined I could do this at 43 years of age!! Thanks Spark People and all my special Spark Friends!!! (((hugs)))
* To race The Bix (7 mile race) again and beat my time from last time! (1:50)
* To lose weight and learn balance in everything.
I am using Sparkpeople to help keep me motivated and accountable. The information and tools available on Spark People are so valuable to reaching goals and learning about health, nutrition, and exercise!

Dropping by to say hi and cheer you on your Thursday, also want to say for your valued friendship and your ongoing support.
Hope you enjoy the following Easter Poem...
This Life on Earth
Easter means that this life on earth
is not all there is.
Jesus went "to prepare a place for us"
in His Fatherís heavenly mansions
for all eternity.
Jesus died for our sins,
paying our penalty,
so that we could be forgiven.
He was resurrected, to prove
that death has no hold
on those who repent
and accept Him as Savior.
This life on earth is a prelude
to eternal joy with our Lord.
Easter is a celebration
of our eternal destiny.

Dropping by to say hi and wish you a blessed day and weekend ahead!
With spring just around the corner I thought this was a perfect time to share this Poem about springtime. Hope you enjoy....
When the gloomy gray sky turns to clear azure blue,
And the snow disappears from the ground,
When the birds start to sing, and our moods start to lift,
Then we know Spring is coming around.
When the first flower bulbs poke their heads toward the sun,
Golden daffodils, hyacinths, too;
When the brown grass turns green, and the wildflowers bloom,
Then sweet Spring makes its showy debut.
Once again we awake from cold winter's pale dream,
As our minds and our bodies revive;
We rejoice and delight in spring's colorful sight;
Each new spring makes us glad we're alive!
