It seems I have a problem. Several in fact. First of all I'm fat. Yeah, I know that's not very politically correct to use that word, but the first step is admitting you have a problem, right? No more living in denial! Second, I have an issue with sticking to things, especially when it comes to health and weight loss. I do great for a few days or weeks and then, you know, life happens. But I'm not here to make excuses for my shortcomings, I'm here for results! And I believe I can do it this time! God has led me here for a reason, and I'm going to follow His will!

So a little bit about myself: I'm in my mid-twenties, I've been married for almost 5 years and I have a son that just turned four. My son is my main inspiration to lose the weight. It is really sad to still be young and be winded just trying to play with him. I gained most of my weight during my pregnancy and only lost 10 pounds after he was born. Two years ago I joined weight watchers and came within 2 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight. But the principles didn't stick and I quickly went back to my old habits. I became a statistic and gained all the weight back plus some "bonus" pounds. I have finally figured out that I am not a teenager and therefore I cannot continue to eat like one. So, now I'm here for the long haul because I know I'm not where I want to be and I'm not where God has intended me to be. I'm finally ready to treat my body like the temple of God it is supposed to be!

GOALS:

10 Pounds Lost: New workout DVD
20 Pounds Lost: Some new music for workouts!
30 Pounds Lost: New Kindle books
40 Pounds Lost: Mini shopping spree at Hobby Lobby
49 Pounds Lost: NEW WARDROBE!!!

Fitness Minutes: 187

My Goals:
Go from 174 to 125 lbs.

No more "jiggle"

Run a 5K

Develop a "taste" for healthy food

Have more confidence in myself


My Program:
Exercise:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays--Cardio (stationary bike or running)

Tuesdays, Thursdays--Strength Training (video or Sparkpeople)

Saturdays--Free day (do either cardio or strength, or challenge myself with something new)

Food:
Avoid fried, salty foods

Focus on getting the recommended amounts of fruits and veggie (this is a hard one for me)

Drink 8 glasses of water a day

Control portion sizes
