Lookin for Weight Loss

In my 30's love to cook and bake... although I often am my worst enemy when I do... by that I mean that a lot of the stuff I like to make involves too many calories to be good for day to day eating... of course I make low cal stuff too, but it's very tempting to make the high cal stuff.

Started getting active again Fall 2008 and really enjoy it. I started by playing soccer (rec league) and then added running, road biking, swimming, disc golf to the mix. I am very lucky to have my running partner, Dave, the dad of one of my highschool chums. Without his support I would not be as active as I am.

Thank you for your comment on my blog! I do try to keep healthy food handy at all times, but I still have a hard time saying no to the unhealthy ones. I'm getting better at it though! Thanks again, and have a wonderful day! :)

Hi! I love your pic on a camel!!!

Thanks for coming over to my page. I've done one marathon. I trained with a group, and took race day easy. I wanted to enjoy the journey instead of feeling the pressure of a finishing time. I'm more of a penguin :). Someday, i'm going to try for a 4:30 marathon finish. As i see it, just being out there makes us champions. Whether we finish or not, walk, run, or crawl, it all takes a lot of courage.

If you have an interest in doing a marathon some day, you can completely do it. I love a walk/run format, keeps you injury-free and makes it enjoyable. "Marathoning for Mortals" book has been my bible when training. It's realistic.

Thanks for the tip on my blog, I think that's a great idea. Those little steps definitely add up! So I'll be doing that from now on. I wish you well on your journey!
