Lord thank you for your grace and mercy in guiding my steps, particularly on days when it felt easier to grab a bag of kettle bbq chips (those things are entirely too good) until I reached the bottom of the bag. I’d be a fool not to give God the glory for my life because it could be so different and yet it is what it is and I am grateful for it.

I’ve battled what I thought were weight issues all my life and quite honestly, I am certain a good portion of it was my own manifestation of insecurity and not recognizing the beauty of my own curves. Well look at me now … I’m still curvy and yet I’ve grown in and out of them over the years and my outlook now is so many degrees healthier.

What I’ve learned …

That no particular size or weight is going to make me PERFECT, but God loves me anyway!
That I want my daughter to walk upright and proud of who she is and confident of her full being!
That I’m on to these magazine covers and their air brushed tactics, shame on you!
That eating a well balanced diet, enjoying exercise and living a full life isn’t so bad.
That being a former athlete doesn’t mean I have to run 5 miles a day, but it sure would be nice.
That I’m probably always going to eat something fried when I feel like it.
That I’m not afraid of spandex and it’s not afraid of me.
That Jillian Michaels has made me sweat buckets over the past few months and I’m not mad at her about it.
That the PX90 guy haunts my dreams, but I am going to master something in that program if I have to knock on his door myself and say HEY HOW DO YOU DO THAT AGAIN?
That trying new foods is exciting.
That I’m probably never going to like tuna fish.
That I’m glad that I don’t have it in me to give up.
That losing 30lbs wasn’t easy and I don’t imagine that losing the last 25lbs will be any easier.
That it’s all good, because I will cherish the journey and the VICTORY!

My Goals:
My goals are to lose another 25lbs and remain consistent with my workouts (cardio, weight training and eating a bit more sensible).



My Program:
What I'm doing to help me reach my goals ...

Running, hill work, stairs, weight training, Jillian Michaels and shaking it up a bit with Power 90 workouts.

My results have been slow but on going and I essentially get back what I put into my workouts.

I'm crafty and I've been reading mags on making jewelry and I am loving it. I made my first bracelet and earrings set this weekend.
