Hi, I'm JoAnn and I have decided to change my life. I'm tired of being tired and feeling older than I am. I've lost and regained hundreds of pounds in the course of the last thirty years until now my body thinks that fat is normal. I am 56 years old, not an athlete, but I want to get in shape. My favourite exercise is walking. Some exercise programs are too hard on my joints but walking is good. On New Year's Day, I was 224.5 pounds. Since I am only 5'2", that is ridiculous! So I decided to change. I've lost thirty pounds so far just being careful to get my nutrients and fiber first and treats after. I think Spark is a wonderful website. I am still getting to know it and I can't get online every day; but I think it is perfect for me right now. I love to sing and just acted in a play at the college recently after a layoff of 17 years. It was great and I plan to be slim enough in September not to have to take a grandmother's part again (unless it is terrific!). I am hoping to connect with some people who want some of the same things that I do so we can encourage each other. Good luck to everyone out there! Jo

My Goals:
Enter a summary of your goals, or just a few you would like to share. I plan to live the rest of my health in as good shape as I can. Eating healthy and moderately active is what I want. I want to increase my flexibility and strength and have more energy to do the things I like to do.
My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals. At present I am eating three meals and two or three snacks a day. I am using the nutrition tracker to help me get the nutrients I need. I go to Curves three times a week and I am beginning a walking program. I only do two miles now but I hope to build up soon.
