I was close....
I began SP when I turned 39 and wanted to lose 35 - 40 lb in a year. I lost 25 or so and was happy with that. Well, I ended up regaining it all. I can tell my age is starting to affect metabolism as I eat less than I used to but still manage to gain. From August on I was religious with the Slim in 6 workout program (great workouts!!!) but even with 6 day a week workouts nothing budged. It's time to change something else. The past 2 years I started having allergic reactions to chemicals in certain shampoos and skincare/makeup products. I had been wondering if being Vitamin D deficient might have something to do with it all. My sister has Celiac disease and kept suggesting maybe I had some gluten sensitivities. I have NONE of the symptoms she did except the Vitamin D thing. It was suggested to me to simply try to reduce or go gluten free to see what that might do and that was how I stumbled upon the 17DD. It seemed like something I could give a go. You can do anything for 17 days, right? That and the reduction in gluten might give me some insight. Might not either but if it works who cares? I will be relearning to eat clean and in a way that my body deserves. I mean I go all out using vegan haircare and special natural skincare products so I don't have reactions - shouldn't I treat every morsel that enters my body the same way? Here goes!!!

My Program:
I am working toward geting exercise back as a "must do". I have many times been in such healthy exercise habits that if I miss a day my body gets mad. I like feeling like that.
