I want to stay motivated and maintain a healthy lifestyle so that I can enjoy my retirement & travel with my DH. I've seen too many people retire and then just go downhill, energy and health-wise. This CAN be the best time of my life but it'll take work and commitment. I want to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

    emoticon Deena. The pizza was delicious, and it was great seeing my Mom and brother, too. I missed her so much. I was so happy to see her. After we ate before getting back in the car, I gave her a great big hug and kiss. I thought she knew to call me when she got home, it is a 45 minute drive and they were going home at rush hour. I waited about 65 minutes and no call. I called her and no answer. I got scared, it is an old car and you never know. She called about 10 minutes later. She said I didn't know I was suppose to call you. I said Mom, don't you always have me call you when I leave your place when I get home, stands to reason I would want you to call me. Yeah, I didn't think of it. emoticon

    A perfect weather day for us today!! And I didn't feel like taking advantage of it. Both my DH and I seem to have fallen into a period of fatigue!!! Wonder why:-) I think we need a couple day break for all the recycling. Didn't fill the van up today as we thought we would. So it's tomorrow or we wait until next Tues. It's not imperative that it all gets done in one week but glad to have a lot taken care of. Still don't know if our son is going to live here or not but have to be somewhat prepared with moving on things out.

    My Giving Friend

    We share so much of our lives
    Our joy and also our pain.
    Without you as my friend,
    I just might go insane!
    You know what I'm talking about;
    You've been through big things, too.
    Yet you cheer me when I'm happy,
    You comfort me when I'm blue.
    Your giving does not go unnoticed;
    I'd be lost without you, friend.
    What we have together
    No one else can comprehend.

    Thanks so much for the kind words. I passed them on to Roger. We had a relaxing day and enjoyed a meal he chose for his day. Now we are awaiting more storms that are spewing tornadoes north of us. Might be another night of cuddling the dog.
    Happy Father's Day to your dear hubby as well. Hope the day was good to him!!
