My name is Jess. And for a long time my weight has always been one of those things in the back of my mind- something I knew I needed to address but never really did. Every once in awhile, I would get into this routine- healthy eating, exercise- but sooner or later something would come along to de-rail me- sickness, stress, always something.

But now I can no longer ignore the weight. Mostly because I've gained more of it. Where I was usually somewhere around 178-ish, I am now back ...

Every once in awhile, I would get into this routine- healthy eating, exercise- but sooner or later something would come along to de-rail me- sickness, stress, always something.

But now I can no longer ignore the weight. Mostly because I've gained more of it. Where I was usually somewhere around 178-ish, I am now back up into the 190's. And I'm not down with that anymore.

So now its time. I'm sick of feeling bad, physically and emotionally. I'm done having to hide my belly with a pillow whenever I sit down on someone's couch. I'm done sucking it in. Annnnnnnd, I'm done "starting tomorrow." This is it, for real this time, 100% not stopping, not giving up, not falling back into old habits.

I'm going to sweat, I'm going to eat vegetables, I'm going to blog, and journal, and grow, and pass on the fries ( at least most of the time ha!) , and learn and embrace this journey, not be AFRAID of it. It's time for this adventure, I figure, what do I have to lose? Except pounds of course haha.

Goals Met:

-10 pounds --- (insert date here, then buy new workout
clothes!) I don't remember when, but DONE.
And got new pants =D

-15 pounds----New P.J's (step up from the old T's) - 8/27/11


-20 pounds----( insert date here then do a little dance
because its TWENTY freakin pounds!) 9/24/11

-25 pounds----- DONE - Go get hair dyed for the first time
EVER....and resist the donuts if I don't
like it haha (got an awesome Halloween costume instead XD)

-30 pounds----- DONE - 3/3/12 after a 2 month plataeu surprise!

-35 pounds-----DONE 5/12/12 (insert date here and start thinking
about that bikini)

-40 pounds---- Start planning that vacation to some
insanely beautiful exotic beach location
0r something equally sweet

-45 pounds---- Get the bikini that was thought about 10
pounds ago!

-5(2) pounds---- (insert date here, followed by a bunch
of nonsensical symbols together to
signify insane excitement....oh, and do
SOMETHING SUPER AWESOMELY

My Goals:
I've gained about 20 lbs in the last the 8 months- so the first goal is to get back to my "original" weight of 170-175...and after that- going for broke and getting down to 140- a number I don't think I have seen since I was in the fourth grade ( I was a little chubby =])



-5 lbs. =DONE

-10 lbs.= DONE

-15 lbs.= DONE XD

-20 lbs.= DONE DONE DONE DONNNNEEEEEE

-25 lbs.= DONE!! XD

-30 lbs.= DONE XD !!

-35 lbs.= DONE!! XD

-40 lbs.=

-45 lbs.=

My Program:
This time I am starting first with getting my diet on track- something I chose to ignore in past- and also trying to make my exercise habits more consistent.

Other Information:
I like to do almost everything; video games, knitting, reading, painting... There's always a million things in my mind I want to get done and usually I don't end up doing any of them..oh well =]

Thanks for your comment! What I used was 2 cups of plain ol' spring mix, 1 TBL Green Goddess dressing, and 100 grams of sliced kumquats. =)

The DO look cute. I really like them. Be prepared for the TART though.

Thanks so much for your comments on my blog. I did manage to avoid a massive binge and I think it's partially due to your comment. I don't give myself a lot of credit (clearly) and you made me realize I might not be doing so bad. I never would have though to see it as being ahead of the game. Thank you!

As for getting the menfolk to eat their fruits and veggies I have no ideas, yet. I can hardly fathom not wanting to eat a strawberry.
